Upcoming Album - Apluto by Skizo

Kwanele Sidwell Dlotho most known as Skizo is a house music producer and DJ from Eastern Cape. .Skizo is said to be one of the best DJs in Eastern Cape.After his recent project (E.P) entitled Iphupha lami which made an impact in the Eastern Cape province, Skizo is dropping a debut album "Apluto" in August.The album consists of 14 tracks which he featured the likes of Thembile, Mgidi and Anele."The album is so amazing, and the Gqom Lord himself says he gave his best " says his manager.We are told to expect hit songs like Uthando, Zakeyi and Iphupha Lami. It would be a good thing if we just have an interview with Skizo himself, so YES let's do it.Peep through the Q & A interview below .

Question & Answer Interview

1.How has the reaction to your recent  project been?

A: Not as I wanted. It was my 1st project ( EP). But i cant complain, all i can say is that it was well received.

2.How would you describe the sound of your new album to any potential new fan?

A: a mixture of house, gospel and Gqom.The sound that makes you move your body out of your control.Basically the whole album is about a celebration of Africans being proud of being Africans.

3.How long did it take you to finish this album, recording wise?

A: It took me about 7 months to record and complete this album.

4.Please inform us about your favourite songs and lyrical highlights and why?

A: Oh, My favourite songs will be...Uhh  I love all the songs in the album But i'l go with "Iphupha Lami", which is track 2 on the album, the song is about My struggle and how I got to get where I am now despite the hate and the doubt from fake friends.
My other favourite song would be " 
nguwe", this one is a gospel-house track i did with Thembile (Vocalist) .Its all about thanking God for his doings, and letting people know who is behind me all the time. Lyrical content "Xa ndiyekelelwa ndophalala mna njengamanzi".

5.Any overall theme of mood you're trying to capture while recording this songs?

A: No, i can't really say because the style in my songs is different. it's all different types of emotions and moods .
 
6.Does your vision for coming up with music get affected at all by time?

A: Yes, I've only released one project because of time, the others were singles.I've noticed the longer you take recording the more you get left behind.Time has been killing me alot.

7.what would you like to add about yourself, your music, anything?

A: I represent Humansdorp, Eastern Cape , and this is what i want to share with other upcoming artists in Eastern Cape.I have seen how you all believe that in order to break through in the music industry you have to go to Gauteng to get signed.It's so bad guys, we just have to support each other and we'l break through, Our local radio stations should wake up..We are the future.
