From Zero to Hero - Elsubie Verlinden shares her story

Meet a mother of three, Elsubie Verlinden, who have broken boundaries and fought adversities to achieve her childhood dreams. A woman who has managed to be one of the key links between the fashion and entertainment industry, she has proved it countless times that it is possible to make it international. Through her agency (33 and Me Talent Agency), Elsubie educates, equip and helps the underprivileged youngsters to achieve their goals. She has collaborated with the IMTA (International Model & Talent Association), and she has been an agent for the New York Film Academy for 9 years, which propelled her visions into reality.

Gone are the days at the Caravan park in East London where Elsubie performed and modelled for her imaginary friends — this is the path that lead the way to her achievements. She held a passion within her, which motivated her to take a leap of faith by relocating to the city of gold (Johannesburg). Ms Verlinden endured heartbreak and rejections multiple times, while sleeping on a mattress in a small room in Germiston, Johannesburg. Her determination was second to no other, days when she had no money for food or rent, the belief she had in her abilities along with the prayers she uttered everyday — all that finally paid off, Elsubie Verlinden got her big break, carving successful careers in both acting and modelling before making a transition to being an agent. “I became an agent with the goal and purpose to give back to those in the industry that never had a chance, creating opportunities to give back and educate is the ultimate
goal.” ELSUBIE
.

After 9 years in the industry, Elsubie has managed to secure partial scholarships and educational breakthrough in cities like New York and Los Angeles for young aspiring African talent. This September she is hosting the 9th annual International Arts Talent Showcase(IATS), where she will have in attendance JOEY HUNTER (Co-founder and president of Ford Models, NYC), who will select actors, models, singers and dancers that will participate in the International Model and Talent Convention which is bound to take place next year in New York City. The convention has paved the way for the likes of ASHTON KUTCHER (The Boss’s daughter), AARON PAUL (Need for Speed), SEAN WILLIAMS SCOTT (American Pie) and RIANI
RODRIGUEZ
(Mall Cop 1&2).

ELSUBIE VERLIDEN continues to be an inspiration to all women internationally. Be Inspired by her story, here's a highlight video we covered of her 2019 IATS open Auditions in Pretoria, Click Here to Watch
