Presenting a unique gem with a rare sight  - Lindelwa Gcumisa - a diverse creator from Johannesburg who's into all forms of visual story telling; from photography, to film, videography, editing and drawing. The creative genius fell in love with photojournalism at the age of 14 after watching the movie BANG BANG CLUB, it became an eye opener for her because that was the moment she realized depicting stories of the voiceless through non-audio visuals was going to be something she'd venture into.

Story telling has been a huge focus for her over the years, with a certain approach to her art "Technically it depends on exactly what the client wants. However, I mostly enjoy shooting moody, dark visuals. They bring out the soul of the image for me." She said. 

She fell pregnant during her tertiary level, which turned into motivation for her. The optimistic creative had to get up, dust herself off and proceed with the journey. Finding the perfect balance between studying, freelancing during the day, as well as being a mother to an infant at night. She emphasizes that the world around her, is what keeps her going. Getting inspiration from street vendors who hustle with babies by their side, in hopes of securing a bright future for them. Stories of the entrepreneurs who refused to look like their backgrounds and knock on doors that looked shut. "In this industry, every project depends on a lot of sacrifices. You lose most of your friends due to working long hours to achieve your goals. I'm not where I want to be yet, but I'm most certain that i get closer the more i work harder." - Lindelwa. 

Lindelwa Gcumisa is the Co-Founder of Blackmark Productions; a company that specializes in content creation from promotional videos, to studio videos, photography shoots, scripted digital content & screening services. They provide excellent services that has kept their clients raving about them online since it was founded. Her role models include Justice Mukheli; a creative entrepreneur whom she wishes to collaborate with him some day & Lereko Motseko; her business partner, whose drive and enthusiasm encourages her to do great things. "Everyday is a test, everyday is a fight and everyday is a blessing too because I get to fight for what I am passionate about, achieve my purpose by impacting others through my passion." She said.

The artisans aims to stir Blackmark Productions to the next level, open a studio and run other business interests. She is definitely not going to hold back on what she wants, grabbing every opportunity that comes her way with both hands. Lindelwa is a trailblazer to the next generation of photographers, with her images creating lasting memories.
