Question and Answer Interview with T-30 (Q & A)

1.) Who are you and what do you represent?
A. I am Tetedi Mphahlele aka T-30 and I represent Tembisa 1632, I stand to be the voice for the voiceless and a prime example of "hard work pays off".

2.) What makes you different from the other rappers who are participating in this rap contest ?
A. My Rap style and ability to tongue-twist makes me stand out cause of the way I can time skip verbally and the substance in my bars has weight.

3.) Why do you deserve to win this contest?
A. I don't think I deserve to win, I think if so my skill should speak for itself other than that I'm just glad to have participated in something that moves the culture forward.

4.) Would you say that you are a good role model?
A. Being a role model is the power of having influence over the youth and that is one thing I have enlisted in my character so yes I would say I am a good role model.

5.) What goal do you want to have achieved in 2021/2022?)
A. The goal I want to achieve between the times of 2021/2022 is breaking into the mainstream.

6.) What was the hardest sacrifice you had to make when preparing for your Round 2 entry video?
A. The hardest sacrifice I had to make preparing for the second round was rapping over beats that weren't of my preference meaning that if I had a better choice I would have went with it.

7.) Who or What inspired your Round 2 verse?
A. I had to revisit my old Freestyle videos to feed off of my own energy so my previous work inspired me to wanna do better in a very precise contest like this one.

8.) What is your favorite part about this contest?

A. Rapping is my favorite part of the contest because that's what I do.

9.) Apart from yourself, who else do you think has the potential to win this competition?
A. Well I can't be specific on who else I think has potential to win, all I can say is the competition is tight and may the best man win.

10.) If you could describe this experience in 3 - 5 lines, what would you say?
A. Well it was mind blowing to come across a contest which is nation wide. Nothing but true emcees from different provinces proving themselves to the masses excites me. It was a great way to test my skill and improve my work ethic. Had to come out of my comfort zone to jump on the beats which kind of put me off but I managed to do what I do best and deliver. Other than all the above, I made my name spread out more than the usual which is entirely what I needed.
