Lil Treeky & Chessy (founders of MoonGangEnt) are young upcoming artists from the north of South Africa,(Nelspruit, MP).These two artists have been putting so much work on their music lately since they started working together they’ve released two singles “Upcoming Views” & “Aight” which both made a huge impact in their province, getting to reach more than 6000 downloads.The artists have been performing the songs in big shows around Mpumalanga, including the Nelcity Show at Ngwenyama lodge & the Soccer Charity event at Kamagugu Stadium.They recently had an interview with Hype Magazine, where they discuss their music & the future of MoonGangEnt.Oh! and that's not all of it, these artists just recently released an EP entitled “Timeless” which is what we going to talk about through our interview with the founders of MoonGang.Timeless EP consists of 6 tracks with no features, and it was produced by the likes of Reggie Beatz, Chaotic Beast, Cj keys and Dolla Beatz.Below it's our Q & A interview with the artists, get to know more about the project and what to expect.

Question & Answer Interview with MoonGang Ent

1. How has the reaction to your latest project(EP) been?
A. Well, it has been amazing, the EP has been keeping people engaged and interested in everything we do. I mean 27K+ total streams shows that the reaction is even much more than we thought we would get and people are really loving it. To sum it up it has been wonderful.

2. How long did this EP take to make from start to finish?
A. For 6 songs we really took our time with it, it took us a total of 14 Months to finish the EP, from May 2016 to July 2017.

3. Please inform us about your favourite songs and lyrical highlights and why?
A. From the EP it has to be “Blow” number one, mostly because of the message delivered in it. The lyrics are just heartfelt from struggling as an upcoming musician and the urge to make it out one day, it also grabbed the most attention from fans. Second favourite has to be “Work”, this is just a plain indication of our trap sound, I like it cause they can play it anywhere and it will most def grab the audience attention. lyrically I go for “danger”, the wordplay in this track is just amazing and I quote - "My rhyme book Was taken by de police, its pure dope Man that's why my beats are low key"

4. How would you describe the sound of your EP?
A. The EP has a trap sound to it but we made sure there's no bubble gum rap in it. This is by far a different trap sound, some days we feel like we should give a sub-title to this kind of Trap. Here we go more about our upcoming career as you will hear on every song we telling a story of how we working hard to get to where we want to be. We named it "Timeless" because we see a vision of the future, where people will ask one day what is "Moongang" and we will take them back to where it started hence "TimelessEP".

5. What are your fondest musical memories?in your house, in your neighbourhood or town?
A. Well we'd go through a very long list but our fondest memories have to be right after we dropped the EP, the next Monday as we were walking out of school we found a regular transport mini-bus that usually picks up the primary children across the street. It was playing our song blow and the children in the school ran to the mini-bus and started jumping on it and singing along, there were close to 50 primary school children around the mini-bus. This was soo inspirational cause we just came out of school and find something like this on a random day at school...like wtf??? This is awesome.

6. Where do you see yourselves or MoonGangEnt in 3 years time?
A. We consider 2017 as our foundation. Where it all started, if 2017 doesn't get us out there competing with some of the Mainstream artists, it will surely prepare us for a Lift off in 2018. So for that as a 1-2 year goal, I'd say we want to see Moongang as a well functioning Entertainment company with signed artists in 3 years. Which won't be easy as it sounds but we take our goals seriously and we going to work hard for it.
