An extraordinary musical group is in the ascendant - ProudMonkeys

An extraordinary musical group of 3 members is in the ascendant — ProudMonkeyz — established in Germiston Gauteng back in 2018. The group is rapidly growing its fanbase, as seen on the internet, their posts are flooded with positive comments. ProudMonkeyz consists of Vincent Timms( aka Loyal Ivory Views) , Lumbani Yamikani Gondwe( aka The Wholething) and Fredrick Mwachande( aka K Streets). The meaning behind their name "ProudMonkeyz" is simply facilitating about being Africans. " Since the world categorized Africans as monkeys to belittle them, we then named ourselves ProudMonkeyz to let them know that we're not affected and we're coming for them." They said.

After recording their first song, the group moved to the city of Pretoria to pursue their music career and that's when they started getting recognition from both local and international artists. They have managed to feature artists like H2Z (Congo), Kazathug (Tanzania), DJ Maxxy, Frenchise Twinz & DJ Bigo (Congo), Click FYI (Nigeria), Infinite Melody (SA). ProudMonkeyz went all the way to opening stages for the likes of Medosky, DJ Goldfingers, Limpopo Boys, Focalistic, A-Reece, AB Crazy, DJ Kat (Skeem Saam).

This is how they met — Loyal Ivory Views was an art-school student, that's where he developed the love for music. He then met another member, K streets, whom by the time was a songwriter, rapper, actor and fashion designer. He then paired up with him to form a duo, until they later met up with the last member, The Wholething, whom is a singer, songwriter, producer and actor. They then focused more into their music careers, and since they've created more hype than any upcoming music groups. During their latest radio interview, ProudMonkeyz mentioned that they're working on an EP called "Cool Kid Effect", which is set to drop in 2021. They will also be dropping a documentary that is focused on showcasing their musical journey.
