An optimistic entertainer whose biggest quality is determination — Given Simelane known professionally as Mgive SA — is a rapper, producer and social activist from kwamhlanga in Mpumalanga. He is the best example of a "passionate person", Mgive has been very passionate about hip hop music since the age of 13 years. The talented songwriter fell in love with the genre at a very young age; He started writing lyrics long back, and since then he hasn't looked back. Mgive SA gets his inspiration and influence from the hip-hop legends such as Lil Wayne, Bow Wow, Jay Z and other unspecified artists. His music comes in different forms, and his message is always portrayed in different arrays; which makes it a beautiful work of art that is unpredictable. He has made a name for himself, and has worked with some well known artists such as; Bongo Riot, Nemza (From Skwatta Camp), King Sweet Kid and Mega. Mgive loves the freedom of expression that music comes with, and his dreams is to conquer the world and represent the country on a global scale. His music is elementary, very catchy and easy to be understood by a large mass.

After leaving a group he formed with his high school friends called "Hooligans", Mgive SA learnt more about the craft and the business side of music, that's why he decided to create an independent record label called "About Time Entertainment" which he now releases his music under. He has performed at several local events around Mpumalanga and his music has made it to a few local radio stations.

Mgive's music cuts deep into the problems in our everyday lives, his freestyle on the movement "fees must fall" is an example of his genius. He certainly has more where that came from and he's ready to dish it out, "Dreams delayed are not dreams denied. They can out talent me but they can never out determine me”– Mgive.
