Artist to watch in 2017 - Kaygee Daking

Kaygee Daking - born and raised in Soweto.The Upcoming artist is doing the most with just only two songs, what an incredible thing.KayGee has been dancing for Soweto's finest for  7 years and that's how he says he fell in love with music. It took him a lot of patience and consistency to finally get it right.He released his first song this year in January where he featured an upcoming artist who goes by name of M-Tools, the song got much love and received more than 5000 Streams on Audiomack.Kaygee has been doing so great, performing in big events such as the MP Fest in Mpumalanga, VUT Freshers Ball in Vaal, Ballers Club in Melville and much more.He also won "The Underdogg" on Slikour on life for June 2017, having the most votes for his latest single "6 Digits".He also conducted an interview with Slikour on life which was too big for him as an upcoming artist.

6 Digits has been doing so good, the song got to play on the #StirUp on 5fm with Mrs Cosmo.Kaygee just recently shot the music video for "6 Digits" and it is looking so amazing.

We had a chat with artist himself and he tells us about how he started the music and where he sees himself in 3 years time.Catch the Question and Answer interview below.

1. Who/What inspired you to start doing music?

A. I guess being a dancer for so long,  dancing to music I started being curious on HOW exactly do they create this magical sounds.That's  when I was inspired to do music.

2. Is music your career?
A. Music is my life.

3. What's the best thing that ever happened to you after a performance?

A. The best thing that has happened to me after performing is when this other young man came to me and said: " KayGeeDaking, you going far brother ".From then I knew I had something special.That was remarkable

4. Who's your favourite SA artist?

A. I mess with A Reece actually. His content is genuine and I relate more to his music.

5. Where do you see yourself in 3 years time?

A. In three years I see myself having my album going platinum.Scooping hip hop awards. I don't  really care about other awards because hip hop awards mean a lot to me & the culture. I see myself independently successful in the industry.
