Prodiiiiiii (29) - One of the 'Reflector Dot Rap Contest' top 15

A multi-talented artist who defines culture through diverse creative actions — Prince Seshigwana(29) professionally known as Prodiiiiiii — a South African alternative musician and Entertainer from a township called Winterveld in Gauteng. Having begun his career many years ago, Prodiiiiiii had to work so hard in order to find his way through the creatives industry. He broke boundaries by managing to be one of the most talked-about artists in the streets of Pretoria.

From Hip Hop, R&B, Electro, to Afro-Pop, Dance and Indie Rock — Prodiiiiiii has a way of attacking any genre. He gets his inspiration and influence from the likes of Rhythmic Elements, Kanye West, Freshly Ground, Smino and many more. Prodiiiiiii's music is largely influenced by his community, making him a social commentator beyond just being a rapper. Most of his songs are in sPitori(a street language formed by Pretorians), as you can hear from the entry videos he submitted to the Reflector Dot Rap Contest.

Peep the Question and Answer interview we did with him below, In order to understand where he comes from with this music thing.

Question and Answer Interview with Prodiiiiiii (Q & A)

1.) Who are you and what do you represent? (tell us about yourself)
A. I'm Prodiiiiiii, a Hip Hop scholar who loves TO RAP. I represent my hood Sgandi to the fullest, and 90% of my music is based around characters from my hood. I love the Pretoria street culture, hence I'm bringing it back into the mainstream. On Makhendlas!

2.) What makes you different from the other rappers who are participating in this rap contest ?
A. I'm coming in with over 5000 hours of extensive performance experience. From Festivals across the country to open mics in Sosha. I'm versatile, I'm focused, I'm hungry, I'm ruthless. No one wants this harder than I do. I got next!

3.) Why do you deserve to win this contest?
A. I came in late in the contest and shocked everyone. In a short period of 2 days, I got to record a quality verse and on top of that I delivered a choreographed music video for it. My style is unmatched and my video exhibits rap in it's most raw form.

4.) Would you say that you are a good role model?
A. I certainly hope I am! Most of the times I spend my days helping to improve people's leisure experiences in the capital.

5.) What goal do you want to have achieved in 2021/2022?
A. To have got to the same level Brenda was during the 'Vulindlela' Era type prominence.

6.) What was the hardest sacrifice you had to make when preparing for your Round 2 entry video?
A. Sound!!! Having to compromise my sound quality due to time constrains was a bitter pill I had to swallow during this round.

7.) Who or What inspired your Round 2 verse?
A. My homie Justice Thukwane did. He told me that my previous video was straight up trash, so I got offended and I had to level up.

8.) What is your favorite part about this contest?
A. The existence of the contest! Now we get to serve niggaz!!

9.) Apart from yourself, who else do you think has the potential to win this competition?
A. Who doesn't? From Lissar down to Flow T! Everyone brought the heat, it's a volcano up in here. Honestly I won't be mad at losing to any of those talented entrants.

10.) If you could describe this experience in 3 - 5 lines, what would you say?
A. It's enlightening, I've been learning from all of these young souls around me. It's been a blessing. Through this contest, I got an addition of 300 likes on my Facebook page. Very great!!
