1.) Who are you and what do you represent? (tell us about yourself)
A. I'm Brighten Baloyi Known as MAAD THE DOCVILLE right out of the moville. I represent all the dreamers that are like myself, the dreamers that are not very privileged to chase their dreams. Whether it's financial problems, evironmental situations, or just being away from where the action is. Which results in missed opportunities.

2.) What makes you different from the other rappers who are participating in this rap contest ?
A. I speak from the heart, and I stand with every single word I've spit since the competition began. I have been saying nothing but the truth...100%...My honesty makes me stand out!

3.) Why do you deserve to win this contest?
A. My style is not just different, It KNOWS NO COMPETITION because it is real with genuine emotions.

4.) Would you say that you are a good role model?
A. Yes I believe that I am! My first entry video touched a lot of people. I believe that i inspire a lot of people through my music. I've seen it over the years growing up around my hood, most people thanked me for doing what I do. My hood has always been a place with violence and crime, that's where my storytelling skills comes from, I have just been writing about that and hoping that it gets noticed. I want a better place for our youth.

5.) What goal do you want to have achieved in 2021/2022?
A.I wanna get my name out there, I want to set myself up as an upcoming artist. I want my name to mentioned amongst the biggest names in the music industry. So my goal right now is to get a foot-in the South African music industry, so that I can get to give the rest of the world my best.

6.) What was the hardest sacrifice you had to make when preparing for your Round 2 entry video?
A. My hardest sacrifice was settling for the last take of the video I sent through for Round 2. I knew I could do better, visual-wise, but I had a problem with the phone I was using to record myself. Time was also one of the sacrifices, since we had to shoot the video at Midnight in order to have it submitted the following day.

7.) Who or What inspired your Round 2 verse?
A. My life did, everything that happens around me inspired that verse; from the Ville, my Peers, to Family at home. The need to express where I come from to where I'm heading to. And also the creative process that I look to reflect in my work.

8.) What is your favorite part about this contest?
A. Not having fear! and also the fact that I got picked amongst a lot with no favors. I like the way this initiative brought the best out of new artists who are striving to make a name for themselves.

9.) Apart from yourself, who else do you think has the potential to win this competition?
A. All of them are good, but I'd say Vuli F.

10.) If you could describe this experience in 3 - 5 lines, what would you say?
A.The experience was the best and surely will be unforgettable. Win or Lose, we should all just see this as a test and use this experience and this opportunity to our absolute best. J cole once said on a song "The only thing worse than death is a regret filled coffin. So try before you die or always wonder what if". Meaning even if you lose, you still won something.
